Raw Milk Talks

This looks fascinating.  I wish I could go, but it is just too far for me to travel right now, especially since I will be traveling once or twice for other events next week:

International Raw Milk Symposium

“Join us on Saturday, January 31st, as O.I.S.E. at the University of Toronto will play host to an International Raw Milk Symposium, a unique opportunity for consumers to learn about the health and safety aspects of raw milk from some of the world’s foremost experts on the microbiology and pathology of raw milk.

The event promises a stimulating and relevant experience, combining a review of the most up-to-date research into the health and safety of raw, unpasteurized milk, with dialogue on how to bring current regulatory practices into synch with reality. Discover the microbiological functions within raw milk that offers protection, the role its diverse array of bacterial fauna plays in supporting healthy digestive and immune processes and understand the considerations to be familiar with when selecting sources of naturally produced, unprocessed milk. An eclectic array of speakers will investigate issues related to medical physiology, safety and distribution of raw milk worldwide, as well as the rising consumer demand….”

For anyone in the London area who is interested but not able to attend, do not despair.  There is a very interesting speaking series coming up in March by one of the key presenters of this raw milk symposium, Pam Killeen, co-author of The Great Bird Flue Hoax.  Pam will be giving a series of talks entitled “What’s Wrong with ‘Politically Correct’ Nutrition?”  Click here for details.  The last talk in the series is about raw milk, but they all look quite interesting.
